The title for this blog site, adm b’ra, derives from the anglised spellings of two Hebrew words used in the book of Genesis.
adm
Adam – the first man
b’ra
bara – created (or, more literally, filled)
Like the book of Genesis, all of the posts on this blog site are, in one way or another, an account of creation, and of my own journey through it …
my passion for creating things
my delight in gardening and growing
my interest in rocks and fossils
my love of the outdoors
my commitment to prayer
Prayer
To date, this blog has hosted two online prayer events for the Lewes area:
Forty Hours of Prayer (19-20 March 2021)
South Downs Awakening 2020 (July & August 2020)
An online Prayer Wall is under development.
Gardening
This blog contains a diary of posts of gardening activity, recorded to provide a timeline of garden care and development through the seasons.
A database of plants in the garden, and of produce harvested, is coming soon!

Rocks and Fossils
I collect rocks and fossils. Almost all of my specimens have been collected by myself, in the field, mostly in the United Kingdom. I began collecting as a teenager, and have continued on and off ever since. My interest includes rocks, fossils and minerals.
