Alfriston – Firle Beacon

July 2, 2020

When I see the incinerator at Newhaven turning rubbish into energy. I am reminded of my need to bring the spiritual rubbish in my life to the  cross in confession so that it can be transformed into spiritual energy.

When I see poppies, I am reminded of the death of Jesus for me. I also wonder what the Lord wants me to remember as I reflect on the past.

When I see the beauty of creation, I sing:
Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me
All his wondrous compassion and purity.
O, thou Saviour divine,
All my nature refine,
‘Til the beauty of Jesus be seen in me.

When climbing over a stile, it is an opportunity to stop and look back reflect and then look forward and plan.
What stiles has the Lord put across our path to make us stop and reflect and look forward?
